Bulk Trash Dropoff Day

It's time to start planning for the semi-annual bulk trash dropoff day, Galesburg! Clean out basements, attics, and garages, and bring unwanted items to the dumpsters located behind the City's Department of Public Works Facility.
What's accepted? All kinds of things like mattresses, damaged furniture, large household items, and small amounts of carpet. There's even a composting area for yard waste.
What's not accepted? Regular household trash, paint cans and containers of liquid, tires, auto parts, and construction materials. Many of these items may be taken to the Kalamazoo County Household Hazardous Waste Center at 1301 Lamont Avenue. Call 373-5211 for information.
